Blood drive dripping with success

Students at Olathe Northwest participated in an annual blood drive. The e-Comm program did a story over it. The made sure to interview important people whose story or interview made it intersecting. This made it easier tell the story thought different point of views.

We are taught the difference of a delayed led and summary led. A delayed led is meant to get the viewer intersected in the video. This video starts with a summary led telling the viewer who, what, where, when, and why. The person who made the video interviewed different people. The first person they did, Jim Sajevic, explained the voiceover that left the viewer questioning things. Still, his interview could have been more white balanced and more to the left of the screen.

I really like how each of this persons shoots showed moving topics. He had great voiceovers that lead into each interviewer's response. In must of his shoots, I could tell that he had a tripod or tried to be as steady as he could.

This student had great shots! There was one that was from the the birds eye view that showed the viewer all the activity that was happening during the blood drive. He had shoots of blood in the bag. The student put an interview voiceover over b-roll. This video does a great job of making the viewer ask question but makes sure to answer them.
